What is Intellectual Wellness?
Intellectual Wellness is the fourth Dimension of Wellness. This involves you continuously engaging your mind, expanding your knowledge and skills, and seeking out new experiences and perspectives.
Ways to maintain and improve your Intellectual Wellness include:
Read books, articles or blogs (like this one ;)) on subjects that interest you, and take online courses or attend workshops to continue your education.
Engage in mentally stimulating activities such as solving puzzles, paying strategy games, taking up a new hobby or learning a new language (I’ve been working on Spanish!).
Create art, write, compose music or anything that challenges your mind and allows self-expression.
The goal of intellectual wellness is to keep your mind active, curious, and engaged which can lead to a more fulfilling life and a greater sense of purpose. This aspect of wellness encourages you to embrace learning as a lifelong process and to strive for growth, balance and meaning in all areas of your life.
